Perugu Chutney

It is a mixture of Plain yoghurt, finely chopped red onions, finely chopped green chillies, finely chopped coriander leaves, few tbsp of fresh grated coconut and salt to taste. mix every thing well.

It should not be too thin or runny, it should be in medium consistency.

Serve it with any spicy meal.

Meanings:

Perugu = Yoghurt

Hi Sree,
I read some where, it is also called as Black stone flower. Refer to this link to get a good look on Dhagad phool as also known as buju puvvu.

Hi Rajani,

This recipe looks yummy, I am going to try it tonight and give you my feedback. BTW we live in Auckland, planning to move to Wellington in about 3 months. Where in Wellington do you live? Can you please suggest me some places to rent with a young family.

Hi Vani,

Ya, do leave me your feed back.

That's good to hear. Lower hutt would be good I think, if you are looking near to all amenities, like saturday market, pak n save, west field, hospital and near to railway station.

We live in Johnsonville, hardly find anything, so we have to drag our selves to lower hutt or porirua for shopping or market. We have only small mall, which only takes 10 mins to see. count down and woolworths are only super market left.
